Education and Training

An observation made in kothari education commission report duly approved by the Govt.of Bihar and Govt.of India is worth persuing and analyzing; “the destiny of India is being shaped in the class rooms of schools in the country “. The Management, the Govt. undertaking, the private undertakings have got to the device ways and means to water the child plants of the school. These child plants growth and development in right direction shall be basis of the development of the Indian Nation.
The principles as contained in part IV of the Indian constitution are fundamental in the governance of the country. It shall be the duty of the State to apply these principles in making laws.

Art.39: The State shall in particular ,direct its policy towards & securing :

  1. That the citizens, men and women equally, have the right to an adequate means of livelihood.
  2. That the ownership and control of the material resources of the community are so distributed as best to sub-sure common good.

Art.41: The State shall, within the limits of list economic capacity and development, make effective provision for securing the right to work, to education and to public assistance in case of unemployment, old age, sickness and disablement and in other cases of undeserved want.

The easiest way to deprive a person of his right to live is to deprive him of his mean of livelihood.

These are fine principles and policies as enshrined in different articles. These principles and policies are ideal, no doubt, the moment one becomes earthly the prose of life appears terse.

Senani Genda Singh Girls High School, Raghopur, Patut, Patna.

This school, established in the name of freedom fighter Babu Genda Singh, only Girls High School within 30 K.M. in 1986. The school is serving the needs of Girls education of a big area, girls coming from all shades, Schedule castes, Backwards, Muslims, extremely backwards and a few from creamy layers. It is a big irony that school has been given establishment permission in 2005. Teachers remained teaching, the girls remained learning, they appeared in the Matric Examination as per Exam. rules, their results were excellent. All these go to show that when determination is there, all is well that ends. But pain and suffering can not be hidden.

We look before and after,
And pinic for what is not;
Our sincerest laughter,
With some pain is fraught;
Our sweets songs are those,
That tells of saddest, thought.
- P.B.Shelley

Despite fine principles, not withstanding the impressive policies, in spite of the catena of fundamental rights, there is a big. But in respect of the school concerned:
Poverty looming on the faces of Girls, shelter less families begetting shelter less boys and girls, want of materials, economic crisis, all continued if not met, even to live a life , bare needs the destiny of India shall remain dreamy . The child plants of the class rooms of the school at Swaraj Nagar, Raghopur have got to be watered and nourished. They receive their succor under the protective umbrella of the constitution but the Govt, Govt. undertaking, the individuals the private bodies, the public bodies, all are arms of the Govt, they have to look the problems, actualities.

A few glaring instance:

  1. Soni kumari, Daughter of Late Bipat Ram, Mother Late Dharmashila devi, village Raghopur patut, P.S. Kanapa Dist.Patna. Soni is the student of class VI of the Girls High school at Raghopur. Her roll no. is 14. is fortune, it is said , does not come alone. Soni 's father breathed his last eight year ago on account of T.B. mother of Soni died four years ago . in want, in suffering in pain, in hunger, she left school. Her younger brother looks after she-goats, and gets some things. A tragic scene, a tragic event, a challenge to the fine principles and policy. One has to the fine principles and policy. One has to believe in the dictum-what is lotted can not be blotted.
  2. Godawari kumari d/o .Hirda Thakur village and P.O. Patut P.S. Rani talab, Block-Bikram, Dist.-Patna. Two brothers are selling newspaper from door to door on foot. Father earning some thing, a barber he is given some corn for saving, Godawari has a sister. Both sisters are reading in class X of the school. Think of their lots, the sky shall weep the earth shall shed tear; but what is needed is not tears but wiping of tears from the eyes of these two sisters.
  3. Sahina Khatoon d/o Md.Anawer Hussain, village and P.O. Patut, P.S. Rania Talab, Dist. Patna. She is living with her maternal uncle. Two brothers, three sisters. The sister has left reading, one sister is grazing she goat. Neither Temple, nor the Masjid, is doing some thing for Sahani khatoon.
    Landless resources less, Dhunia by caste; The guardian a Dhunia does the work of Dhunia. This can not nourish the family.
  4. Mira kumari d/o.Rama Mahato, Village and P.O. Patut,P.S. Rania Talab, Patna.She was a student of the school at Raghopur. She left reading in the school . She has begun the labour work to sustain her and her family life. Poverty, wants, needs, all are starting at the familyof Mira Kumari.Girls High School, Raghopur, Patut, Patna is endeavoring to the best of ability and capacity to water the child plants of the schools. The school is situated by a road ,a pucca road, eight rooms, other facilities are there out still something is lacking. Establishedin1986, establishing permission in 2005,avery big gap. There is something lacking, implementation of the good and encouraging principles and policies. On behalf of the school children, on behalf of the teachers, on behalf of the communities at large, as Headmaster of the school quote the following lines of Shelly:
    Scatter, as from an un extinguished hearth Ashes and sparks, my words among mankind. 'Be through my lips to un awakened earth. The trumpet of a prophecy' o, wind, if winter comes, can spring be far behind?
